Städjan, 2019 - postcard

A Hiker's Art is a series of postcards with hand-painted motifs from Dalafjällen, which I painted in gouache while I was out on hiking trips.

This motif is of Städjan, a very characteristic mountain in Idre that resembles a volcano from the north and south, and a ridge from the east  and west. This is the view from the north, see my other painting for the view from the west!
I painted this during a day trip at Nipfjället on a half-rainy late summer day, when the colors of autumn have just begun to creep over the mountains.
