We send the painting between us and each paint for ten minutes at a time. Each painting starts with random colours and shapes, which we then explore together. Step by step fantastical scenes emerges.
BELONGING
Linoleum prints on handmade, recycled paper.
Carved by hand from linoleum blocks, and printed with water based ink on handmade, recycled paper. The whole process is done by myself in my studio. The handmade nature of the work is enhanced by the uneven edges of the papers, and little imperfections in the print.
For me the artworks are about preserving the nature in which the pictured animals, and us humans, live in.
Somewhere in the Universe
Colourful fantasy worlds painted with watercolour and gouache.
In these paintings I've followed my curiosity on an adventure in the landscapes of colour. Each painting starts with a wet sheet that I allow watercolours to flow across freely. Then, little by little, I create a landscape out of the shapes formed. Magical worlds emerge and invites fantastical exploration.
