Städjan från Gränjåsvålen, 2019 - postcard

A Hiker's Art is a series of postcards with hand-painted motifs from Dalafjällen, which I painted in gouache while I was out on hiking trips.

This motif is of Städjan, a very characteristic mountain in Idre that resembles a volcano from the north and south, and a ridge from the east  and west. This is the view from the west,  see my other painting for the view from the north!
I painted this during a day trip on Gränjåsvålen - or Idre Fjäll as it is usually called - during a beautiful  early autumn day. Here you can clearly see the trail many walk to the top.
